Shanta Mauney
Founder, Principal Consultant
Shanta Mauney is founder and president of Mauney Business Communications, bringing more than 20 years of experience in strategic communications, public relations, and stakeholder engagement. Her background spans manufacturing, energy, oil and gas, aviation, wireless communications, hospitality, nonprofit organizations, and media. Throughout her career, Shanta has helped organizations strengthen reputations, navigate change, manage crises, launch products, engage stakeholders, and communicate with confidence during critical moments. She is particularly skilled at translating complex topics into clear, compelling messages that resonate with employees, customers, communities, media, and industry audiences. Before launching Mauney Business Communications, Shanta led employee communications for one of the world's largest industrial and medical gas manufacturers, supporting more than 4,000 employees across 250 U.S. locations. She also held leadership roles with global and regional public relations agencies, managing communications programs for both industrial and consumer brands. Shanta earned a bachelor's degree in public relations with a minor in business from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University.
